Arsenale: In Minor Keys  | Artist: Ranti Bam  | Curator: Koyo Kouoh  |
Title: Ifa Ile Oja
2026.10.19
Earthen clay, artist hands, spirits, creativity, art, nature are all one. Transformations from one state to the other are continually happening all around us. Our universe, or anything in it, is not static. The artist simply acknowledges matter's true nature as it mold it from one state to another, connecting to its essence, calling its name, and allowing it to show through.
From natural clay to goddess. Bam's forms find their divinity from the material and spirit contained in the clay itself. Inseparable. Brought to life as sentinels proclaiming their thrones alongside us. We are one of them, and they are one of us.
Beautiful in their simplicity. Ancient in their complexity. Bam's forms lead us to a world where nature reigns supreme, and humanity's follies lose importance. Standing in the middle of Arsenale's beautiful space, surrounded by a world of competition, they beg of us a return to truth.
